Four years ago I launched my campaign for Vigo County Commissioner. Now I am seeking re-election.

I am proud of the work we have accomplished over the past three years. We opened a new trail system in southern Vigo County called the Riley Spur Trail.  We have worked to improve county roads and bridges and much needed work has been done at Markle Mill Park. Two years ago we were able to start a program called Vigo County Clean Streets Initiative which does just that - cleans city and county roads. Over the past four years we have seen new businesses and companies make Vigo County their home and we work to bring more.

MEET MARK CLINKENBEARD

 I was born and raised right here in Vigo County. My wife Dawn and I raised our children here and now my grandchildren are growing up here. 

 

30 years ago I started Mark Clinkenbeard Construction and built it into a well respected general contracting firm. 

​

I have deep roots in this community and I have been involved in many organizations including the Homebuilders Association, TH Area Association of Realtors, Riley Rec League, Post 346 baseball, Crisis Pregnancy Center, Ryves Hall and the Society of Trash Baggers.

​

I am also a strong supporter of ISU and ISU Athletics.

​

I believe Vigo County is a great place to live and raise a family and I want to help continue to grow our community.
